The bird was located at the very top of the mtn. where the trail splits and forms a small island of shrubs, trees and rocks. This area has several piles of branches from recent clearing in the area. A large flock was found here feeding on the ground and in the lower branches of the trees. The bird moved from this area to the side of the trail before the opening to the snag area. Extensive search by the remaining observers failed to produce the bird. Observation was hampered by torrential downpours and fog. If anyone had other species out there today, please let me know and I will add them to the report. Thanks. Tom Egan Marietta, Georgia
