There were multiple flocks at the top moving fairly low giving us good looks. The Black Gum Tupelo tree is loaded with fruit that is getting ripe. The orioles and tanagers were all over it today. Keep checking it! The most interesting bird of the day was a bird singing at the bottom of the mountain. Several observers heard it and attempted to find it. It was possibly identifed as a Warbling Vireo but a postive ID could not be made. One observer saw a vireo sized bird fly away from them. The song was very similar to WAVI according to the folks who heard it. So, keep your eyes and ears open for this interesting bird and perhaps someone can see it as well as hear it over the next few days. Bob
