The Empid was seen again today by many observers, several of which heard it vocalize. After considerable audio review of the Stokes CD, Jeff confirmed that he had indeed heard the Alder call notes as suspected while at the mountain. The bird was seen on the road about .1 miles past the stairs to Little Kmt. As Giff posted yesterday, the bird was seen again at eye level. It was clearly a Traill's type, based on color, size, bill and primary projection. The bird called several times. I assume any observers will write up their observations for the records committee.
