  Not a bad day considering the road was posted off limits due to heavy equipment moving to the top. The Mountain trail was also posted off limits but the head ranger was nice enough to allow us to use the trail as long as we promised to stay off the road and mountain top. One group of three out-of-state birders did walk the road to the first clearing area and turned back when the heavy trucks came up the road. I have included their sightings but most of the numbers were gained in the field next to the maintenance area. I am sure the numbers are low given the limited access.
