We also had several dragonflies, including C Green Darner, many Carolina Saddlebags and best of all a male Variegated Meadowhawk. This western species is a rare vagrant to Georgia, and this is only the fifth county record. Thanks to Laurie Karnatz and her camera, a shot is viewable here: http://www.giffbeaton.com/Dragonflies/Variegated%20Meadowhawk_KMT_small_0613.jpg Sorry Dan and Bud, you no longer own this species in GA!! Anyway, it was a little slow but a good morning. Giff
