Kennesaw Mountain Report  4/3/2006

 

1015-1150  65F-78F  Strong band of thunderstorms moved through the area from
the west between 0600-0930. When I got to KMT it was still mostly cloudy,
becoming clear and sunny. Winds became stronger during the morning, finally
NW 10-12 kts.

Insects: 1 male Common Baskettail dragonfly, and about 10 species of
butterflies including Mourning Cloak. Yesterday Pierre Howard found and
photographed a Pepper and Salt Skipper on KMT, for a first mountain record.
