Spring Migration

This is a rare spring migrant at Kennesaw Mountain.   The early date for spring migration is April 14th.  The late date is May 21st.  There are only single birds reported in the spring as follows;

Spring records:

21 May 1994

30 Apr-3 May 1995, thought to be same bird

19 Apr 2000: male, just below the upper parking lot

14 Apr-16 Apr 2001:  male, down near the maintenance area

Fall Migration

A rare fall migrant, the early date is August 28th.  The late date for this species is October 18th. The high count was two birds seen on September 5th, 1993.
