Spring Migration

Northern Parula is an uncommon migrant at Kennesaw Mountain.   The early date for spring migration is April 5.   The single day high count for Northern Parula is five. The  late date  is  May 25th.  Northern Parula is a possible breeder in other areas of the park.

Fall Migration

Northern Parula is  also one of the first returning warblers in the fall.  Early migrants have been found on Kennesaw as early as July 4th.  These birds are no doubt local breeders from nearby areas that are dispersing.   The single day high count for this migrant is seven.  The late date for Northern Parula  is October 23rd.
