September 26, 1997 Kennesaw Mountain Report. Weather: 0700- Overcast and cool. Scattered light rain showers 64 e/ne 10 - 15mph. 1130- Overcast 68 east 10 - 15 mph. The rain began 9/24/97 late in the afternoon. It rained heavy all day on 9/25/97 anywhere between 4 and 7 inches of rain fell over the metro Atlanta area. The overcast skies and rain is due to a stationary front that has been over the southeast for last three days. The night of 9/25/97 the skies were overcast and there was scattered rain showers most of the night into the morning of 9/26/97, winds e/ne 10 -15mph. Observers: 0700 - 1030 Chu, 0800 -1130 Ph, 0930 -1130 Bd. The list of totals below is from Chu. and Ph. I don' t have all the ages on the birds.
