west/northwest 10mph. 1130 weather: partly cloudy scattered cirrus 85
very warm and humid west 10mph and increasing. Observers:Too many to
mention. gb, jf, sr, hw, ph, md, bhu, pb, mo, bm,dm, ps,bd, pr, bbl, dl,
cs, ss, jw, eml, nd, as +bdr. All birders looking for the viwa. Viwa was
first seen on Wednesday on September 17 by ph and sr at 0815 along the
road in the snag area.  Viwa was seen on Thursday September 18 and Friday
September 19.  Viwa was not seen today, Saturday September 20.

There is a approaching cold front from the northwest.  Cold front passage
should be after midnight in the Atlanta area.  0000 -0300 ?  Looks like
it is going to be a dry cold front with no rain and a few scattered
clouds.  There will be no weather associated with this cold front to
knock down birds.  Winds should be light and out of the north behind the
front.  There should be birds behind this front.

Nocturnal Thrush Count ( 0530 -0715 ) sr = 0722  0530 weather clear dry
west/northwest 10 mph. 63.  Observers: 2 sr +bd.

Notes:  slower day in the numbers of birds, compared to Thursday and
Friday. Still a great day.  A lot of birds and great looks.  The Viwa was
not found today.  Looks like the Viwa could be gone 9/17 -9/19/97.  Let
see what the cold front will do.
