The bird had lemon-yellow undertail coverts, mustard-yellow rump, and a irregularly shaped yellow breast spot that covered the middle portion of the top one-half of the breast. The spot did not extend to the flanks. The intensity of the yellow in the breast spot was lass than that of the undertail coverts. The upperparts were a gray comprable to bggn, only without the blue tones of the bggn. The unmarked gray was uniform from the forhead through the crown and nape to the rump. This inclues the mantle and scapulars. The wings, coverts, and tail were also gray. The bird had a prominent, white eye-ring that was uniform in thickness around the eye. The throat and flanks were a dirty white. The belly seemed to a brighter white than the throat and flanks. The bird was a tail wagger. It was seen four sep. times from 0830-0930. Each time it was found it was in low brush.
