Weather: clear few scattered cirrus. Very humid and warm 75 calm. There is a back door cold front moving from the northeast, sliding down the southern appalachians. Cold front passage sometime this afternoon. Tomorrow should be a good day for the last day of July. Last night there was no rain or fronts. Clear and calm.
Obsv. 1 B.D. 0645 - 0830. A slow day. A lot of dead spots. grcb 1 chsw 42 rthu 4 bggn 2 woth 3 revi 4 revi feeding young cowbird near the cowa tree. bawa 2 males one male singing. nopa 1 male suta 1 inbu 8 hofi 1 Notes: the red fox was seen at the usually spot, hunting. The usually spot is on the road near the cowa tree. The red fox was on the right hand side of the road pouncing into the vegetation. The red fox finally caught a chipmunk or a wood rat. The red fox cross the road with prey and disappeared into the woods. This is the third sighting of this young red fox in the same spot. Giff and Mark believe it to be a young red fox.
