The young BNWA was still in juv plumage, and was fed by the adult female. In discussion with Jon Dunn, this juv is only a couple of days past fledging, and obviously still with family group. Jon estimates that this bird was fledged only a few miles away. The closest known BNWA breeding location is on the north side of Carter's Lake, approx 45 miles away. Anybody got any ideas? Also, lots of butterflies inc 19 Cabbage Whites on a cluster of flowers at the base of the stairs at the top. Also went to the marsh, and flushed a juv Virginia Rail. This is the second recorded juv at this marsh, fourth ever for GA, and first on this side of the marsh. At least 9 dragonfly species recorded at the marsh today, and a Wood Nymph butterfly. Giff
