These Black-throated Gray Warbler pictures were taken on 9/8/03 at Kennesaw Mountian  in Cobb County, GA by Bob Zaremba unless otherwise noted.  The photo in the header was taken by Earl Horn.

The bird was originally found 8 September 2003 by Pierre Howard around 9:30AM.  It was relocated by Bill Lotz ,  Deb Zaremba and Sterling Blanchard around 10:00AM.   Later in the day, multiple observers were able to relocate the bird as late as 3:30PM.   The bird was actively feeding near the "saddle",  an area on Kennesaw Mountain that have stairs leading to Little Kennesaw.   This is only the third record for this warbler in Georgia.  The newly published Annotated Checklist of Georgia Birds lists the following sightings;

Accidental on Jekyll Island 18 Oct 1975 (Erwin 1975, Denton et al. 1997b)

A report from Crooked River State Park (Camden) on 1 Feb 1989 has never been documented.
